Hot coffee and fresh muffins will be provided for early risers beginning at 10:30 am. Please bring goodies if you arrive early
to help set up.
Picnic
Lunch starts at 12:30pm.
Please bring a covered dish.
We are again asking everyone to bring their favorite recipes, so that we can add to our
cookbooks. Also, we are trying to update our mailing list. If anyone can help me with any corrections or additions please contact us
here with the heading address help and your mail will be
forwarded to the correct person.
Lunch on Sunday for the reunion will
begin around 12:30pm. Paper products and utensils will be
provided. Please bring your favorite side dishes and desserts to
share.
There will be games,
horseshoes, softball, basketball and corn hole for all ages. We
also have a very special surprise program for all to contribute
to. The 50th anniversary quilt will be auctioned off for ownership
for one year. Please be sure to bring items from your home town to
be auctioned at the annual auction.
We are looking forward to
meeting all our relatives at this joyous occasion.

Located on Rt. 219 near Sand Flat Road.

Oakland, MD 21550

Have eaten at the restaurant, but don't know what the rooms are
like.
Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Hours
are 7am to 8pm daily.

casual dining atmosphere.

Windy Knoll B & B

Pattie & Herb Bunch have stayed there.
It is on the road that goes past the Fair Grounds and the College.
Again a good location.
Elizabeth spoke with Ruth at Windy Knoll B & B.
She has 1 Deluxe room with private bath and 3 other rooms with
twin and double beds that share 1 bathroom.
She said you basically have the run of the house.
Deluxe room is $100.00 per night and the other rooms are $85.00
and $65.00 per night.
If there is enough of you coming you might have all the rooms.
She said you can also have access to the kitchen if you didn't
want to eat out.
Said she would be glad to work with you.
They do not have a web site.

Off Lake Rentals - Bob Orr

Phone: 1-800-511-0186
Someone told me about Bob and the other day he came into the train
station when I was working.
He seems very nice and tries to handle places geared to normal
families, not the rich.
The web site has a lot of information and you can view many of the
cabins. Again worth looking into.

Herrington Manor State Park is really nice.
They have 20 cabins. A little on the rustic side but nice.
They might be 10 - 12 miles from Deep Creek.
Must bring your own bedding and food.
A good distance from the nearest restaurant.

Elizabeth would recommend Alpine Lake Resort where she lives,
but the beds are not the best.
They are about 18 miles from Deep Creek.
At Alpine Lake Resort you can fish, swim, canoe & kayak, play
golf, miniature golf, and hike.
